Okay, When I bought this coin raw, I thought it looked like a Solid AU-50 possibly 53. The coin looks totaly original with lots of underlying luster. Well they gave it an Xf-45. A little tough, but based on the board input, many felt the same so it must be about right. But what's funny, is three of the other coins in this submission came back one grade higher than I expected! Go figure!

Very nice!
That's quite a large O mint mark on this coin. Is that typical?

AU53. Is that the type that has the obverse die crack & production actually continued under the Confederacy? Nice coin!!
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

If there is a lot of luster under the gray toning, it could be called an AU-50, but the wear is too easy to see to call it that.
