1971 o-pee-chee Hockey Set Registry update

Hey,

Can anyone fill me in on......................

1- The amount of high quality cards from this year showing up on ebay.

2- It seems that the "old" top three people in this set no longer are on the registry.


Anyone have any insight ?

    I'm lost on this one. I checked both the 70/71 and 71/72 sets and in both cases, the all time top three sets are all current. Did I miss your point?
    Wanted: Bell Brands FB and BB, Chiefs regionals especially those ugly milk cards, Coke caps, Topps and Fleer inserts and test issues from the 60's. 1981 FB Rack pack w/ Jan Stenerud on top.

    Yeah, ya did, Fuzz. StarRJM19, who occasionally shows up here, was like the guru of this set, but I guess he sold his collection to one of the new leaders. Plus one of the old guard of this set - the ID's escaping me right now - recently sold a bunch of high-grade '71s on eBay. There's a bunch more running now, though I think most are being sold by dealers (AJ's & Gerry's). For being one of the most popuar sets among hockey collectors, the '71-72 OPC landscape has apparently changed quite a bit lately. I don't collect the set, but I'm kinda curious myself, Marc.

    Well Browntoni sold off his stuff on ebay the last few weeks. I am not sure why he was number two. The number two set belongs two Mickey- Sportscards, they purchased a lot from Randy and the Number one set is still the same, he just changed his name. I am finally out of debt and will be adding to my set.
