Lets get some opinions on this one. It's a colorful Washington. Grade and holder added.

Aside from the carbon spot, what do you think. It has nice luster, miniscual marks, and nice color. I'll put the grade up after I get home from class tonight.

I like it alot. It's a decent strike full luster coin with very few marks evident in the pic. Personally, I prefer that kind of album toning, and aside from the hairline on the cheek and the few spots, it's a killer. I'd say it holdered 65 because of the toning/spot, but it's a strong coin.

I think the toning might a dark green the picture dosen't show very well.

Just received it today. Yes it's in an ACG holder, my one and only. Looks like an old version, I have no idea what generation these are. Looking at the coin under magnification, I think the spot appeared after it was holdered. I also think it's accurately graded. There are a couple contact marks on George's cheek and neck that don't show up in the photo.

Old ACG eh? Maybe it would cross into New ACG as an MS68? image

Good question. I checked out Cameron's website, but there wasn't any reference to ACG being in Des Moines.

I may be wrong, but I think I remember those holders ... way back ... 90, 91 maybe ... I think they are first generation ACG slabs ... and if I remember correctly (God help me, I'm gonna get flamed!) ... I think the ACG coins I saw back then (very few) were well graded (accurate +/- 1 to PCGS "firsts" and NGC "bricks").

Oh, I was gonna down it to 64 ... but it could go either way IMHO
