The scammer is using Barry's coin image and is based in London. Barry is right here in the United States, The seller pockets the money and gives the buyer , the finger and runs. The buyer does not get the VIRTUAL coin.
Thanks folks, I have no idea who Barry is and to be honest after reading this forum for a year now I have no desire to ever purchase anything from E-Bay. I think I would rather walk through South Central L.A. at 1:00 am with a roll of hundred dollar bills in my hand than buy from the bay. Unless of course it was a reasonable BIN from someone here I have met and trust.

Probably good advice for the faint of heart and for newbies, but really, if you know your stuff and you know how to spot scams, you can see the warning signs and stay away almost every time -- especially for big-money purchases.
Still, the more of you there are who stay away completely, the fewer competitors I have for the coins I want from the sellers who appear trustworthy. So get out of here!

If you see what you think is a condition rarity on EBAY (you know what im saying) and the open bid is cheap.
RUN LIKE HELL !
Still plenty of nice coins in holders for good prices, though a lot of them are culls that dont quite fit some collections, but are perfect for many collectors.
I asked the seller a question about the coin and he Im'd me (I am on AOL) He started cussing and called me a biotch...
What a loser
My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)
He only bids on total BS auctions and the sellers would not dare to NEG the caped crusader lest they risk the wrath of the long arm of the law and incarceration !
That's the famous Barry Stuppler coin that was stolen a couple of months ago and there is a $50,000 reward for it's return. Nice find - you're going to get a lot of bids for that one!
<< <i>Good Ol' Scumnuker. Another super hero to the rescue. I just wonder what color his cape is? >>
Whatever color it is, I'll bet its artificially toned.
OMG, the bidding is going up. $7600 now with scumnuker still ahead. How high will it go??? $10K, $20K?? Will someone snipe in a bid at the last second and knock scumnuker out?

Dollars to doughnuts, the seller will ask for a Western Union money order--a typical scam!
<< <i>Some poor SOB bid on it! >>
-don't worry, scumnuker knows what he's doing.
It is not hard AT ALL to find fraud coins. Gotta love private auctions and low feedback.

I emailed seller and ask him when he bought the coin from Barry!!
No reply yet!
I got a reply from Barry Stuppler and he has already reported the scammer to ebay.
Joe.
Good job.
Joe.
I guess they don't have enough "evidence" that he's a crook.
