TTT still have a couple of tables left.....the turnout should be really good....last night club meeting was quite positive and we passed out hundreds of fliers to our members who will be passing them out at other clubs and shows over the next month...we also will piggyback the bigger WESPNEX show the week before....so should be great turnout and the table cost to dealers is $ 0 email me if interested...also please stop in if you are a collector....there will be lots of free food and gifts.....

Also wanted to mention that this show is being dedicated to Carmen J. Reece who was past president of WCCC several years back....Carmen passed away last week, a heck of a nice guy, whom all members of the club cared for and a big time collector of Franklins!

    ScarsdaleCoin: I will be there!

    Sounds like a GREAT idea!

If I was looking to sell, I would have definitely wanted to set up a table too!

Where is it being held? At the convention center?

Unfortunately I can't make a Wednesday night show, as my wife has college classes that night. The club sounds terrific, though, it reminds me of the old Willimantic Coin Club from my UCONN days. Will you guys have a table set up at the October WESPNEX where I can stop by?

Both the Westchester County Coin Club and the White Plains Coin Club....have a table at the front as you enter the WESPNEX show....regardless if you can not make the Oct show please feel free to join us at any of our WCCC meetings....

  • Maybe you can answer a question I've always had. In order for a collector to have a table and thus turn himself into a dealer, does he need a tax ID# or anything, or can anyone do it just that quickly?
  • ScarsdaleCoinScarsdaleCoin Posts: 5,223 ✭✭✭✭✭
I am sure there are many members who can answer this question from a legal standpoint....collecting tax and SENDING it into the government would be the dealer's responsibility....I know all my seperate state accounts when I do shows out of my state become a real pain.....the reality is that on smaller shows I doubt that most of the dealers collect the tax and I would guess some collect it and then keep it...but that is really a big no no.....

centmaster: Anyone looking to be a dealer needs to apply for a Certificate of Authority to collect sales tax. A separate ID number is not required and you can use your SS# for this purpose (unless you incorporate.or form a partnership). But I do suggest a separate ID, regardless. It takes 3 weeks to obtain a sales tax certificate of authority so it is possible to get it in time.

Jon - BTW, who is catering the show? Will there be an open bar? Most importantly, are dogs allowed on the bourse floor?
