It looks AU-50 to me and harshly cleaned.

IMO it is an AU which has been cleaned.

Although a nice strike, the coin has been cleaned, and as a result, it won't get more than AU50 money.

  • Hi sorry didn't get back right away on this. Told the seller what all you guys said the guy was livid, called me names, said he had been selling coins for 50 years and never cleaned one in his life. To make a long story short I bought as you know and it's going to PCGS for grading and I keep you guys adivsed

  • Did you try to return it within the time period? It will be bodybagged at PCGS and you will be stuck with the coinimage

From what I can tell the first picture (both sides shown) is NOT the same coin as is depicted in the close up of liberty's head. In the first pic, Liberty clearly has a flat head....

yep, first pic shows a cleaned coin, maybe EF details and nets Fine or maybe VF. Don't waste yer grading fee.

next 3 pics show a nicer coin that looks AU and well struck.

  • Your right it isn't the same coin when I check I had bought two 1930 SL one was a S the other no mint mark. I also bought a 1917 FH picture doesn't do it justice because you can see the tail feathers without aid. I'm going to try an attach it plus a better picture of the one 1930 for whoever hhad the good eye to see it wasn't the same photo. I was able to get the 1917 but not the 1930 file to big have to go back and edit but look at this one

  • Now I think I got the other picture small enough. This is the one 1930 not the one with all the close-up photo's that you all thought was cleaned. By the way I didn't stop it going to PCGS would be to much trouble so I take the hit won't be the first time. As a matter of fact I just sent 10 Peace coins down that I got from a dealer a reputable one three came back as cleaned and they wouln't grade them. Now the batttle begins for the refund.
