As far as I'm concerned, there are 3 grading services. The rest are coin holders that print random numbers on the holders.

That's fine I appreciate your trying to help. Unfortunately since the owner of the site has not seen fit to properly credit the source of the information (He knows I provided the original list to Jan and the Keridee that he credits is also me, the Keridee address being one I maintain for my sister-in-law.) it makes it confusing and I have been refered to that site by several people in the past.

As Cameron says the list is out of date. It lists 83 companies and my list is now up to 108. (My sig file is out of date as well.)

108 is way too many. Why do people even submit coins to the lesser known companies? Don't they know that if they stop submitting, they will go away? The only third tier grader that is even beginning to show signs of respectability is ICG, IMO.

108 is the total # of companies in the last 20 years or so, not 108 currently in existence.

Why do people even submit coins to the lesser known companies?

In many cases, they do not "submit" the coins to these companies. They ARE the company, as in they own the coins, they "grade" them, they print the labels out, and they put them in the Coin World (or other) slab, and they sell them.

I was surfing around and ran into this site by accident Had no idea in the world the info came from Conder101 So many folks here ask "Who is this company" so I just linked it. It's a shame when people take credit or do not give credit to those that put in the hard work.
