Here's a few things I picked up today and a few other things I simply haven't done anything with as of yet.
PM or post below with any interest.
In no particular order:
1946-s 50c PCGS ms/65 old rattler Frosty white like it came from a roll. $170
1915-d 5c ANACS au/50 A bit of greyish tone. Slightly rotated reverse that is also a touch weakly struck. $100
1886 Morgan ANACS ms/65 Reddish-auburn centers with bluish-green at the rims. Medium in color. Strike is good, luster is good and eye appeal is ok. Not a monster. $135
1854 3c silver NGC ms/62 Tougher type 2 variety. Deeper reddish auburn tones with darker blue undertones. Classic album look. Very sharply struck for the issue with some minor clashing. Great type piece. $400
1913-d 5c PCGS ms/65 A great gem for this issue. Pretty, soft violet and rose tones obv. and rev. Really, really nice. $275
1824 50c O-109 recut 4 pcgs xf/45 Very sharply struck, looks au to me. A touch dark with irridescent bluish-orange tones at the rims. $225
1833 50c NGC au/55 Lustrous and eye appealing. Lighter gold and auburn toned centers getting deeper towards the rims. Spent some time in an album for sure. $235
1925 5c NGC ms/64 Nice coin for the grade. Lustrous, subtle rose/champagne hues to the surfaces. Something stuck in the F of OF on the reverse lettering. Looks like it would "flick" right off, but it's there. Minor. $140
3 Paramount holdered Morgans. Each graded ms/65 in the red Paramount type holders. Figure $85 each, or $240 for all three. The coins are: 1886 brilliant white with orange and yellow rim toning. 1885 brilliant white with some auburn, rose and blue rim toning, and finally 1900-O lustrous with some scattered greyish-auburn tones.
1941-1964 Washington Quarter set, housed in individual small envelopes and tissue paper. 61 coins total. These coins had been put away since 1969. Each coin has some degree of envelope toning. Some color on each coin, but nothing outstanding, in the toned, color sense. These coins have great luster and are of excellent quality. I looked through the set, at each coin, and most of these are probably worth slabbing if one desired. I'm going to offer the coins here, as a set, and if I still have them after the N.H. Coin Expo (end of Sept. early Oct.), then I will consider slabbing and selling individual coins. I am leaning against that route, as the coins are so well matched to each other. This would be a great way for someone to pick up a quality "short" set of Washington Quarters. $925 for all 61 coins. I believe the Greysheet lists this set aorund $800, but these coins are much more appealing than typical BU's, and I KNOW there are more than a few gems in this lot. ***ON HOLD***
