Coin designs I would eventually like to own (more added)

I went through my Krause last night and selected the different coin designs that I would eventually like to pick up. I found some pics of each example. I only want to get one of each design so any denomination will do. So what do you think of the designs I chose? If I missed any you think I might like please tell me. Of course a few of them are going to be very costly but I do not have to pick them up anytime soon. I would like to try to keep all of the coins pre-1950 and in at least AU.

It's a good one. Some other designs.. I'm sure you're aware of the French Marianne? There were some good versions of her: early 20th c gold, 1924-5 Cameroun & Togo (colonials), and a bunch of medals are some of the better ones IMO. Also you might like the icon I just switched back to: Romania 1 or 2 leu from around WWI. Ummm...

I already have a 1917 1 Franc so the Sower is already taken care of. I must have skimmed through the book too fast because I missed the Romania Leu and 2 Leu and I also forgot to the the GB Trade dollars. I will have to skim through it again to see what all I missed. I will add more as all of you find them for me or I find them.

I think that would be a very cool set of coins! You should go for similar sized denominations for some consistency...I think that would look good

These are really nice coins, but hard to find in true uncleaned AU or BU. There also are two types -- this one, minted in Berlin, and another type with the stars on the obverse joined together.

You may want to look at some late 1800`s or 1900`s peruvian 1/2 and 1 dinero, 1/5, 1/2, and 1 sol`s. You can pickup the dineros in gem for under 10.00 dollars and the rest in unc for under 20.00

Colombia has some nice representations of Liberty, as well.

Nice choices I like them all, but in particular the coppers..... The Swiss have some beautiful ones, and I think some of these designs have been around for a 100 years or so.

Spinynorman that 1 Centavo is gorgeous. How much would one with color like that run me?

Well, I guess that would depend on who has it...

It had $8.00 on the holder, so it was something less than that. It actually looks way nicer than I can get a picture of. The left side of the obverse is a vibrant yellow-green-blue-purple. Kind of unusual for a copper-nickel coin. The same dealer had this centavo and a 5 centavo that was toned the same way for less than a buck each. Gotta love the darkside!
