Anyone ever receive a reply about CLEANING ???

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=3356&item=3929282840

from folks like this? They "grade" the cards in their ads yet never respond when you plainly ask if the coins have been cleaned?
The seller-Tuesday Night coins is the same. Never a response!

  • Never a response = never a bid.
  • I usually get this answer. "I've never cleaned this coin" Every coin I've bought after that answer has been cleaned, I guess, from the previous...previous owner.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

  • On the plus side: excellent feed back and previous auctions of certified coins look fine
On the minus side: I couldn't find any mention of a return policy

On the other side: the description does say they look forward to "servicing" you.

This seller has been the subject of many threads here. Beware of shill bidding.
    US Navy CWO3 retired. 12/81-09/04

    Looking for PCGS AU58 Washington's, 32-63.
  • The few times I have had to ask when the cleaning wasn't mentioned, I got honest replies each time. Some stated yes, they knew for sure that it was cleaned, some stated they suspected it was cleaned but weren't positive, and others replied they had no idea if it was cleaned or not. No matter what response you get, though, you should take that into account in your bidding. If you have even the slightest doubt about a coin that you want slabbed, either bid low, or don't bid at all. Let someone else pay full fare for the bodybags.

Unless this seller cleaned the coin himself, he has no business making any representation about the history of the coin. It's a good picture and I'm sure you can guess as good as he can. By the way, the coin has been dipped.

I bought 2 coins from this seller. Both were returned. Both were cleaned/damaged. He sent a prompt refund. End of story.
