I don't have a Morgan on the Holey Coin Vest anymore. I used to have a 1901-O on there, but since I decided to stick with pre-1900 coins only, and that coin was in a bezel (not a true "holey"), I removed it. I've been waiting for a 19th century-dated one that I liked, and I like that one.
Looks like a blow torch job to me. Notice the black crescent looking mark around the hole on the reverse. I've seen torched coins with similar black marks before.
