Should I move my Album of Mehrig Toned Nickels out of the Mehrig Album?

All of the coins are toned, and it's an original, very colorful album... the album is sort of falling apart, but that's not really the issue.
Should I move the coins elsewhere (such as an IS album) to keep them from gaining anything unwanted, be it color or otherwise?
I have wavered between sending it in for grading or possibly selling the set. I think the cost of grading would kill me, and I'm not sure if I want to sell right now--it's pretty, but it could be quite a few classic coins, such as the MS large cent I'm trying to find and buy, and possibly some others. The album is complete from 1938-1961.
Here are a few coins from the set (really old pictures):
Thanks for your advice!

Hell, if someone made an offer I really couldn't refuse, I'd consider not refusing it.
I have the same situation . . . re-constructed a set of target-type toners and placed them in a LOC album. Recently I took a few out and submitted them . . .grades were OK, but remembering I picked what I thought were the better ones, I guess it wasn't anything to write home about. But, nice to get them in PCGS holders, and they are similar or better than some of the 4-digit Heritage-types I've seen.
Still . . . the series is poised to rocket up, after the next two reverses and the possible redesign in 2006. Hang on to what you have until the prices run up a bit.
Jeffs are a good series to put together in high grade or toned . .then just leave them alone for a while . . .concentrate on solething else and then get pleasantly surprised in a couple of years . . .
Answering your question . . . unless you see something actually happening to the coins, I'd leave them there. If you do, Kointainers or Airtites hold the toning just fine. (But I think you are already knowledgeable in this area . . .)

If that album caused the toning, get them out now. The sulfide/oxide layer will continue to thicken and the coins will get darker and darker. That's not what you want, is it?
My crystal ball says - a lot of folks who bought into the toning craze are going to be unpleasantly surprised as the years go by and their coins change from what they remember.
Anyone think there's anything better than IS to go with?
Jeremy
PS- $5 my ass. I have a LOT in this one... more than anything else in my collection.
just give ngc a few more years, they'll be slabing entire albums by then.

How about $5.51?
yes, if you like them and want them to have the best chance of staying as they are, move em on out.
Then, move some "fresh" nickels in, and wait another decade or 3!
