Boom, much as I hate to miss one of these, I have to. Will be leaving for a two week trip to Germany and Italy on 15 Sept and so will have to pass. Will sign up for the next one in Oct. Luskie
  • Sorry Boom, although I hate to admit it, I am quite upset by the swap I did with you before. I recieved a PCGS quarter, but the coin coin was covered and quite damaged with PVC.

Young man, you have a lot to learn and a lot of nerve. First of all if you have a problem with ME, have the decency to take it up with me in private!. As for your statement about a PVC damaged PCGS quarter, your youth and your ignorance is showing! PCGS WILL NOT certify "Problem coins"...perhaps you've heard of Bodybagging! And lastly, since you want to go public with a bogus grievance...here's a legitimate one for you. The worthless crap you sent me I wouldn't give away as free bonuses. You got a lot of nerve boy! That PCGS Quarter exceeded the $50 minimum while your worthless trinkets weren't even worth $20 total.

You will NEVER take part in another swap organized by me as long as you live until you learn manners, proper etiquette, how to express a grievance in private instead of openly as you chose to do AND apologize openly for making a fool of yourself!

You have the nerve to ask me to GIVE you stuff? Not No, but Hell no! I see why your parents sent you to Military School for the Summer. Obviously you didn't learn a whole lot. You are downright stupid Kevin, to come on here and say that PCGS graded and certified a PVC damaged coin. Your youth and ignorance come shining through. I guess it never dawned on you to look the coin up on the PCGS price guide. What YOU sent ME...now, THAT'S trash!
  • HEY COUNT ME IN, IS PHUT AROUND? HE SHOULD BE GOOD ALSO, HEY EVERYONE SIGN UP FOR A GOOD OLE SWAP, GLAD YOU ARE HOSTING ONEBOOM, ALWAYS HAD GOOD SWAPS HERE

    Thanks!

Hell, I don't need to exercise.....I get enough just pushing my luck.
  • Boom, I should've said that to you in private messages. I apologize for that. I wasn't trying to damage your reputation -- or anything like that, just I had a problem I kept to myself for awhile, and wanted to tell you. I said it in a calm way, there wasn't any sarcasm or anything like that in it. I never did mention it was a bad trade, I simply stated I was upset it appeared to have PVC on it. Boom, I realize PCGS would obviously not slab a coin with PVC on it. It could've developed gradually under the slab. When I got the coin it was very slight PVC damage, but it just gradually worsened. I'm not stupid.. perhaps I came off wrong. And I certainly am wrong for saying it to you in pubic, again, so I'm sorry for that. I did like all the other coins I got from you. It's okay with me if you won't let me participate in another swap with you, that's up with you and I'll respect that.

I wasn't trying to start a "flame war" or anything like that, but perhaps you can see past this incident. Boom, (Sorry, I don't know your real name, else I'd call you by it) if you want to ignore me in PM's from now on that is OK (Not saying you will or you have, but I'd be pretty pissed if I were you too) , but I'd appreciate it alot more more if you did reply back in private message.

    Thanks

    Sincerly,

    KT YN

It's OK, I forgive you. Everybody makes mistakes. You are welcome to take part in this and any other swap I host but 2 things. 1) Actually go thru the motions and either state that you are in or not and 2) Next time you have a grievance with anyone, treat them the way you would like to be treated and handle it privately. OK? Peace!image

I second this question; how exactly does this all work? Very interested in participating, just want to know exactly what I am getting myself into before I do so =)

    Thanks,
  • Sounds like fun. I'm in.

When everybody that wishes to be entered is in, Boom will post a list of who sends to who. After this, PM the person you are sending to and make up a nice care package which can include slabbed coins, but doesn't have to include slabbed coins (value >= $50). Send coins out (to your swap partner) and wait for your swap package to come in the mail.

To clarify, the $50 value is market value (what sells for on eBay), not PCGS price guide value.

OK, I have to recount the participants but at a glance it appears we have an even dozen. Is this what you guys come up with?

Now the rules are actually quite simple. I'll pair people up. Afterwards, I will post the pairings at which time you will communicate with one another and kind of talk things out about your interests etc and after that you just have fun and try if possible, to help each other's needs.... but be realistic here.

This is not a get rid of stuff you don't like anymore deal but by the same token no one is expected to run out and go into debt trying to find some expensive coins....you get the picture, it's just mostly common sense and treating one another the way you would like to be treated.

Now, let me get the Names together and see about pairing people up. I'll post probably sometime Thursday.image

OK here we go, I tried to pair a veteran with a relative newcomer so that the vet could explain the process to the "rookies!"image

Uncle Wiggly swaps with Numismanic and vice-versa.
Hookedoncoins swaps with coinerww and vice versa.
Asnovell swaps with Rodius and vice versa.
Phut swaps with eyoung and vice versa.
Bunker swaps with thigpen and vice versa
B00M swaps with Mojoman and vice versa.

THAT'S IT!! Get after it. Old dudes, show these young whippersnappers the ropesimage
Communication is vital. Talk amongst yourselves and discuss the particulars, your likes and dislikes!
While you can try to accomodate your partner, if you can't, you can't- BUT TRY!
MOST OF ALL, remember to have fun and treat one another the way you would like to be treated.
This is not a get rid of your junk swap, OK?...OK!! Let's Party.imageimage
