Very happy to have just won an auction for my first early dollar. I dunno why, I just like them.

Duh!? That's a no-brainer!
That is a sweeeeeeeeeeeet lookin' dollar!
In 28 years of numismatics, I have never owned a Flowing Hair anything. And only one Bust dollar: a VG+ 1800.
Or are you gonna make us guess? Looks VF-ish to me, with my zero experience in owning those.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

I figured that if it ever really, really bothered me I could send it off to a conservation service but I think it's better original, in a pcgs slab with the tone line than conserved and perhaps unslabbable, (is that a word?).
What do you think?
jest,
To heck with the dark line, leave it alone.
A two leafer,I still think it's a nice coin.
Congrats.

Looks like a rubber band line on the reverse, doesn't bother me much, I like it as a 20 and would leave it as is. Rarely does one own a US coin with a "17-" date that is almost CERTAINLY never cleaned.

When I grow up I'll have to get one of those

I agree most of these early dollars have been cleaned and do not look natural. The line does not bother me either.
