I'll be honest, I really like the look of the coin but I don't trust those colors. I would need to see it in person first before I'd feel comfortable with them.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

That is a color that appears on no other trade dollar I've ever seen. As far as grade goes, it could be anywhere from AU55 to MS64. Impossible to narrow it down further off a picture.

Probably no since in posting since TDN's post with it being his specialty, but I agree, that color sure isnt natural and probably hiding a lightly circulated coin to boot.

It's in a Coin World holder. Create your own "grading service" and put "MS68" on the label. image

Oh, and when you name your grading service, make sure it has an acronym that looks like "PCGS".

Hope you weather the storm OK. I met Frances on my way to work this afternoon- we are finally gettin' a taste of it here in SE GA. In fact the lights just flickered. Hmm.

I saw some minor flooding and small branches down on my way here, and a sign or two that was about to give up to the wind, but it hasn't been too bad.

That is a nice looking coin but I agree that the color is suspicious. I can't tell if it is AU or MS from the pictures.

  • I agree on the color. I have some silver coins that have toned a pink-gold color, but never a deep red like that. Could just be the photo, though.

  • As a novice collector, I can't tell if it's AT or NT, but I really like the look of your coin. MS65?...just a guess.
