My son's friend (11) brought this over today to see if I can identify it. Anyone able to assist?

    Thank you. I have a couple other world coins he brought over I'll post in a few. Sorry the scan was so bad on that one. the next will be better.

    The letters "VBS" on the one side is for the "Coinmaster" of this period, Vilhelm Burchard Poulsen
    and the "GJ" on the back for the Gunnar Jensen, who designed the coin!
    The "heart" is the mintmark for Copenhagen.
    On the back you can see the monogram of the King Frederik VIII

    Thanks Eric. It actually looks very nice in person. The scanner couldn't get a good contrast off the coin. It is in very good condition and now housed in a 2X2 instead of sitting in a box covered my Susan B Anthony's. I'll have the kids look at the link
