I didn't think it was possible, but this might be a real 1856 Flying Eagle unslabbed up on Ebay.
I have no idea why they didn't get it slabbed to prove it's authenticity.
Technically one should not go for something like this on ebay of all things.
There is still the chance it is a fake without examining it first hand.

Looks genuine to me. In fact it looks like a Cleaned Fine (s-9). I beleive I can see the die gouge on the reverse lower left ribbon in the photo, and the other characteristics seem to match, but not positive with out coin in hand.

Looks cleaned to me. Unless it's a really bad photo, the color is too light. Like it's been scrubbed and the fine lines on the surface are keeping the light from reflecting.

For my money, it would have to be in one of the top grading services holders. Way too much risk on this one - even with an honest seller.
