Does anyone else feel that Seated Liberty halves are the easiest coins to find in PO-1?

But will it grade P01 at PCGS with the scratch?

You're right, it would have to be penalized. And since we all know that PO1's have greater demand than Fr02's, shouldnt PCGS downgrade it to a Fr02?

  • First off PCGS won't slab damaged coins. The scratches on the obverse would probably bodybag it. If they do grade it taking the scratches into account, it would probably come back as...what do they call it again...near basal state? Or something like that.

    Truly superb . . .

I wasted a couple of these as golf ballmarks prior to the knowledge I was in reality holding on to a gold mine . . .

    Won't make that mistake again . .

I would vote on Draped Bust cents for that, though Seated halves probably ain't far behind.

I guess I can have SOME respect for this coin. At least it's a rare date.

Do you think P01s are "sleeper" coins image

With Braddick offering big money for some of them, i think they would qualify as sleepers.

    Gee, that looks aweful.
How long you think it circulated??

Thats the funniest one I have heard in months PCGS routinely slabs damaged coins, it just has to be the right date. Someone on this board is always posting pictures of their Draped Bust half that has scratches on both sides not just one side and they are not that faint scratches either.
