Is there any documentation indicating what the counterstamps on Trade Dollars mean?

That would be kinda cool, though probably a bit difficult to track down.
  • That is a pretty neat dollar.
I love all the chop marks all over it.
It looks to have been heavily traded a lot amongst the people in Asia.
I bet if it could, it would have some interesting stories to tell.

Has anyone ever come up with any documents or books explaining who all the chop marks belong to?

I like chopmarked Trade dollars, you can usually get them cheap. The image isn't working for the Buffalo.

All of the Chops plus the decent detail caught my eye right off the bat. Even a little luster still shows.

  • Great chops! I've got a Mexico 8 reales 1810 with 40 chops that I really like--chops are great--tells you that your coin did a lot of work!
