How much time do you spend buying coins vs. selling coins? 50/50? Inquring minds want to know . . .

Buying is fairly easy if you attend enough shows. I'd say 35% buying and 65% selling.

REAL coin dealers are BUYING over 98% of the time.
Dealers pay wholesale prices so they can SELL with a phone call.
Become a dealer and you will find that BUYING is the whole game.
When I closed my shop, I sold my general dreck with ONE phone call and a few days of counting.

Are there a specific trade margins established in the industry? i.e. the selling price minus cost divided by selling price? for wholesaler? for the retailer?

i'm not a dealer, but i'd of guessed much more "effort" is put into buying, though i dunno if this equates to "time spent".
