I just got these--the 1886 I got a few hours before I left for vacation last week, the 82-S I picked up today in the held mail bin Both are graded by NGC.
1882-S: I love this as a bag-toned piece... the reverse is really electric and the lustre is phenomenal. Also, I love the huge amount of white above the letters on the top, which is typical for bag-toned pieces. Also, the green just isn't a color you see all-too-often Got it at a great price, and it'll take something really special for me to flip this one
1886: I've been wanting a black morgan for a while--the ones that have lots of lustre underlying the color are just plain neat to me. This coin also has a little bit of red and green on the obverse, including some within the digits in the date that didn't show too well in the picture because of shadowing. The reverse is nice, too
Enjoy the coins, and guess the grades!

I agree.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
That is one wild reverse on the 82S. Love it. As far as the grades I think the others have nailed them. A pair of 63s

No one's got both yet...

It's truly funny, no make that truly sad, that people in this day and age are so wrapped up in their own little world that they refuse to try and teach someone else the correct or accepted way of doing things.

<< <i>Jeremy: Why do you have a couple of duplicate photos which appear to be dull & lifeless compared to their counterpart photos?

Stuart, I received both coins slabbed. I have found that on about 99% of toned coins (there are always a few that don't meet the rule), showing the lustre will create portions of the coin that are too dark to show the color. Thus, my remedy is to take two pictures--I take one picture with diffused light to show the color of the entire coin--how you'd see it if you held the coin at an angle, or moved the coin to have the cartwheel go all the way around the coin. Then, I take another picture of the lustre--while it doesn't show the color of the entire coin, it does show how the color looks when it's tilted around in the light.
I'm sure you'd agree that the 1882-S has a much more colorful reverse than the second picture shows, hence I took both types.

1882-S: NGC MS64--looks right to me... remember, marks are smaller in real life
1886: NGC MS62--I could see it a 63
