Speaking of Pedigrees, How about "Childs"?

I can't find much anywhere about this pedigree and I could use some help. I did a search on these forums and didn't
come up with too much. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I know I'm in the right place to ask! image

The Childs collection was of outstanding overall quality and if I remember correctly, a good number of the coins had been acquired directly through the mint (way back when) and/or held in the collection for decades.

That is interesting. I've done quite a bit of looking but I can't find a thing on the man or his collection, or any auctions. I don't know
where I might be missing on the internet.

The Walter Childs collection was auctioned on August 30th, 1999 by Bowers + Merena. Collection included 1794, 1804 and other important bust dollars, quality early gold, etc.

Kieferscoins: It was graded by PCGS as PR65 back in 1999.

I recently shows the Childs 1880 $1 gold sold by ANR only a couple of weeks ago.

Out of all of Walter Childs coin collection, only 8 coins were graded PCGS MS-67, none better. Why? mostly proofs.
