    A silver Thracian Hemidrachm of Cherranesos ca. 400-350 BC in FDC.image The next oldest is a large Celtic Wheel Money example from Britain ca. the 2nd century BC in FDC.

    I also have several FDC Roman pieces, all silver Denarii: Severus Alexander (AD 222-235) and two different reverse varieties from Emperor Maximinus I Thrax (“the Thracian”), ca. AD 235-238. There's also a set of 3 bronze Follis coins of Emperor Constantine I (“the Great”), ca. AD 307-337 from the mints at London, Trier and Lyons. The earliest gold coin I have is a BU example of a Solidus of Maurice Tiberius (AD 582-602), struck at Constantinople; this was inherited from my Father.

    while I am not trying to be difficult, what exactly do you mean by finest condition?

    Well i don't collect UNC coins so this is a bit hard for me but i'd say these.

    King Stephen Penny 1135-1154 (Virtually as Struck), which for the series translates to about VF with flat patches, or in modern terms AF.

    Other than that i have the following;

    1693 Sixpence in AEF
    1750 Sixpence in AU

    Which is about as far up the grading table as i go, eveerything else falls at my fave grade GVF!

    A denarius of Hadrian issued during his third consulship (AD 119). It is only fine to very fine but has no problems and great original surfaces.

    okay... I'll list a coin or two. A 1672 Farthing graded MS62 by NGC and a 1628 Austrian Taler graded AU58 also graded by NGC.
    My oldest ANACs coin (I think) is a Henry VIII Testoon graded VF20, and my oldest PCGS Coin is not a darkside coin so I will not reference it here.

    Congrats Ajaan on getting a CNUT to grade MS62.
