NGC will start offering a 4 hour guaranteed show turnaround service for $150 a coin. They will be collected in hourly lots and guaranteed turnaround within 4 hours or normal $100 per coin pricing will apply. Looks like if they take over 4 hours you get the grading for $100.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
<< <i>PCGS has that $200.00 deal. Hate to be the evil one, but many dealers were still waiting for their $200.00 walkthru's at ANA up 2 full days later. I really can't see how these hourly services can work. >>

ngc does not do saturday grading. You might be lucky to get pcgs to do saturday grading as well.

<< <i>even though (PCGS) has a $200 walkthrough tier, they still get too many coins submitted at shows... >>
Geez, I'm in the wrong business.
"Seu cabra da peste,
"Sou Mangueira......."

It's the addition of fingerprints which takes all the time; grading only takes 90 seconds for all three graders.

Yeah they fight for 3 hours over who gets to get their print on a coin.
<< <i>how can someone get all goosebumpy w/ excitement waiting for alleged professionals to take ..... FOUR HOURS for a grade? i mean, how long does it freakin take to grade a coin & shove into a piece of plastic???
sounds like a ripoff to me.

I would have to say you have pretty good hearing!! Especially when some one is willing to pay more to have a coin graded then it is actually worth just because they are to impatient to wait a few weeks. I guess it is true that some people really do have more money then brains.

yes, some do.
<< <i> Gee...whats the salary for a grader? >>
$250,000/year. And I'm not kidding either!
I remember when getting coins back the next day was special. Now, its hours. Will we be looking at seconds soon???
