I love to learn new stuff..as a relative unknown still I can do the fly on the wall thing pretty good still..some dealers are great they take the time others if they think you are gonna buy big from em... The guys who collect are so cool and fun to learn about a series I know nothing about..I sat next to TDN and Tom Bender at a couple of different events..one guy really knows big coins Tom equally turned on by the Lincolns and Indian cents..MS68 (schwietz) always teachs me something new about commems and thats a series I know a little about..I met tiny, tiny dealers who made me appreciate why I collect at all and said my hello's to all the bigger guys that have taught me so muchover the past few years from firms like Pinnacle,Legend,Whitlow...I could go on and on..I bought a Pan Pac half for 50k+ and a worn out stone mtn that looks pretty cool at 20 bucks, and even spoke to David Hall and the president of Heritage..How was your trip?

Unlike any other show that I have attended, one day is not nearly enough to see everything I would want to see at the ANA.
And, more importantly, it's the people that make this hobby great.

I can't agree with more! Most of the time I spent was talking to fellow forum members.

What else did I learn? Better take the same tunnel back to the hotel that you used to get to the convention center unless you enjoy sightseeing at 11:00pm.

I have to admit I felt a bit out of place there as I'm a small time collector but it was great that PCGS welcomes any registry set participant large or small to attend their luncheon.
Visiting the bourse floor two days in a row was quite a treat too. Never been able to do that before at such a large show.
TahoeDale: Thank you for showing your truly exceptional coins, you have great taste.
And thanks to the many board members who took the time to stop by and say hi, it was a pleasure meeting everyone.
It don't get no better than that!
Met Reed Hawn- a guru of high end coins.
I lied... getting one's picture taken with Reed Hawn and the beauties is indeed better!
I learned that there are bargains to be had at auction if you can stick it out til after midnite!
