Hey there, new guy here that found this forum while trying to do some research on some coins that my father left me a few years ago. I have 2 1964 Kennedy proof coins that I beleive after reading about them and then looking at are the transitional coins. What would their approximate values be if this is the case?

Are you referring to the accented hair variety?

Do you have a feel for their grade? Are they holdered?

I don't believe any of the third-party grading services will attribute the transitional coins, but since the 64 coins command a premium in cameo or deep cameo, and since it's possible the coins have value independent of the designation, I'd suggest you consider submitting them to be graded. I would recommend PCGS, NGC, or ANACS. If you decide to sell them, include good pictures of the coins, including close-ups of the reverse. Here's hoping they're PR69 Dcams.

One more question, if they are the PR69 Dcams what would the value range be on them?

In a PCGS holder, $1500 plus.
