The coin is over 1/4 inch thick! There is no way it will fit into a slab!!!

I think Marty has singlehandedly rescued this coin from obscurity.

Believe it or not, I got a phone call from a dealer friend about these coins in the car on my drive home. I fully expect they'll flood dealer cases at the next show.

I had a dealer in the world coins section ask me yesterday if I was looking for anything special. I told him I was interested in some Cook Islands proof sets. He said he has a couple of dozen at hime, but did not bring them along!...

A piedfort is acoin struck on a planchet of twice the normal thinkness or more. Makes them rather obvious. As he says the coin is 1/4 inch thick.

I saw one of these coins on ebay and the description said "this coin brings the phrase "angle of the dangle" to numismatics. YOU MUST OWN THIS COIN!!"
