    I see nothing wrong with someone asking for a pop number every now and then. For some people, they may want to know for a certain reason and then never need to use it again. Seems like a waste of money to buy the pop report for one number.

    Just my opinion though.image

    I think PCGS does itself a great dis-service by not providing the information free of charge on line. This information is a valuable (well could be if accurate which makes it even more silly that they charge for it) in assessing the the marketability of PCGS slabbed coins. I understand that there is a cost involved in publishing hard copies and I am sure that was the intial reason for charging fees. So if you need a hard expect to pay for it, but to charge for the information on line is folly.

    Here is just another situation where NGC is a step ahead.
