How closely do you examine your daily pocket change? (poll)

I tend to give my change a cursory glance as I receive it then throw it in a large jar at home for closer examination later with a mag glass.

  • I just look at the dates, then look for any doubling on the devices. I also check all '98, '99, and '00 cents for the Wide 'AM' variety, look for silver, and any world coins.
  • I seem to be finding a lot of 1965 and above stuff lately, but nothing that I would say is a great find. Nice job on the CONECA!

I use my Mastercard most of the time, but when I do use cash I almost never look at my change unless I am counting to be sure my change was correct.

I'll glance at it and then look more carefully when I get home.
Always looking for attractive rim toned Morgan and Peace dollars in PCGS or (older) ANA/ANACS holders!

I barely glance at it when I get it, but look at it closely later. Most of the coins are
just checked for important varieties but the quarters will often be attributed, or at
    least checked for new varieties.

  • I usually check 'em out before I get home, so I can leave in vehicle for spending money ...... or not.

  • I look at everything, but not until I get home. If I have to spend any of it before I get home, then I'll look at it before I spend it. image
  • keep it in a fishbowl and then basically have a little party and spend hours...and a nicebottleof wine....going through it all

I do two of the above choices, I give everything a once over before it makes it to my pocket, then I hit it all with a loupe when I get home. I often find Die Crack coins.

You said it, its pocket change and I pay no attention at all to the coins received. Usually cents are not even taken.
