Can anybody identify all the various PCGS holder styles?

For some time now I've been curious imageimage about the various holders PCGS has used over the years. Does anyone have a reference I can go to or better yet could someone list the holders, with the time periods they were used, and any comments about relative grading of coins in the various types of holders? I've heard that coins in the first-generation holders should be worth more, because the grading standards PCGS used were tougher back then.

There is an excellent book out that lists almost all the grading services and their holders varieties. It is by a fellow board member and I would highly recommend it!!

That is largely true and with the passage of time, alot have been resubmitted with the intention of getting a higher grade. So, alot of the really good material have been weeded out already. Which doesn`t mean that one wouldn`t still go for a higher grade today. Just that it would be harder to find one that would and be worth your while.
