Photo uploading help request

Ok, have my photos ready and they are very nice but they are just a hair over 50K jpeg, like 57 depending on the photo and I have 6 for y'all. I noticed the holey of holey's has a 400kb bit map in his post so how can that happen when I can't even get this little Indian to jump on here? Help me here and I will show you some of my favorite things.

The Web hosts here only allow 50K or less for photos. The large picture you that see is hosted at another site and linked to here.

If you need to reduce the size of your pictures, see if you have software that will do the trick. On my program, which is Microsoft Photo Editor, I click on "image" and then "resize." From there I can reduce the size of my photos in 5% increments.

It's a good idea to keep the orginal photo file and create another one for the reduction. The reduced size photo will have less detail, and you might want to keep the better picture for future use.

  • The holey of holey's has his own site and is able get around the 50kb limit. A good number of people do that around here. BillJones suggestions would be the same advice I would give so, it isn`t nessesary to repeat what he already said.

Most ISP's provide you with webspace where you can store this kind of stuff. Mine gives me 10MB to play with.

Thanks so much for each of your comments. I will try this indian attack this evening when I get home. Maybe hosting is better because these coins don't look quite as good when they are so small. More this evening!

All of the pictures that you see with my posts are hosted here, and they are less than 50K in size. Remember you are not covering much space when you photo a coin. The quality is orginal photo is more important than the size of the file.
