I save and I save for the coin/grade combination that I want...when I finally have enough saved... I either talk myself into holding out for something else, or decide to go for the higher grade since I saved this much, why not go for the higher grade

Usually the money gets spent somewhere else and I never get the coin I was saving for.

Yeah, another problem that seems to hit me is saving for something I want, and by the time I have enough dough saved up, I can't find what I wanted. Then something else catches my eye, I buy that and immediately find what I wanted in the first place.

I'm not a very patient person and this many times works against me.

I'm the worst. Have about 15 coins on my want list. I get bored and buy 1897-O Morgans AU50 in different slabs and 1946 slabs, my birth year. Can't stand the wait.

i have a like 90% specific idea of what i want before i go to my local shop, and even then it's maybe a choice or 2 or 3 coins. the day i bought my seated liberty half i wasn't gonna leave without either the half, seated liberty dollar, or a trade - it was gonna be one of those. the trade and dollar were a wee bit high for buying and still having money for taco smell on the way home, but i got my half and i was a very happy girl. got the trade a month or so later and was a really very happy girl. it all works out in the end.

I decide exactally what I want and get the money required and then the whole show it won't be there, I know thats gonna happen, hasn't yet, but it will. Last show there were five capped bust half dimes the whole show, before that, there were two, thats it.
