Someone tell me what its like at a major show. I have never been to a major coin show. If i ever get to go it would be like a once in a life time vacation for me. Were i live there really isn't that many shows and some times they really don't have that many certified coins. We have about four shows a year and my work don't let me attend a couple of those's.

At your first major, you can't get over the number of tables that you see. The number of tables and size of the place is what got me at my first major, which was Baltimore.

The first thing I that went through my mind as I walked the bourse of a major show for the first time was..."these old coins are not as rare as I thought". You will be overwhelmed with the size of the show and the amount of material available.

If you can get to the ANA show, do it. Besides the hundreds and hundreds of dealers, you'll see fabulous exhibits and there are also about 100 different educational presentations you can attend. You'll see coins you've only read or heard about.

Bring comfortable walking shoes. It's a BIG bourse floor (Halls B & C) of the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh.
