Which do you think is more desirable for a given coin: PCGS MS68 or NGC MS69? This Isabella Quarter

PCGS MS68 (was NGC MS69!)
Either way, it's a pretty nice commemorative. I think I would have left it in its MS69 holder. How about you?

I don't know. I would think the blemishes in the toning might have knocked it down a point as far as eye appeal goes. It's such a thin
line between 68 & 69 I'd have to see it in person.
I would only assume from some of the posts I've seen here in the forums, that if it were in an NGC 69 holder, most of us would've figured it
would be 68 in a PCGS holder.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
I really miss her, I should never have sold this coin. If I did still have it I could have presented a much better image of her too.
With regards to the original question.... it depends. But if it's the acclaimed finest known at either service, does it really matter?

" Buy The Coin And Not The Holder", At First Glance This Sounds Like Sage Advice ! However, You Will Never Hear : " Sell The Coin, And Not The Holder "
PCGS Coins Almost Always Bring More Money When It Comes Time To Sell.
Well, that's true when they're at the same grade, but not so much when they're a grade apart and the coin is nice.

Yes, I agree. If you have an Isabella quarter that is THIS nice, it should not matter to a REAL collector what grade the services put on it.
The only people who care are the registry cowboys who are more interested in the number of points they get for the competition than the coin itself. That's sick IMO.

That should help somewhat.
