Can anybody else see something wrong with this item?

The slab is a $200 coin but the coin is a $5,000 coin.

  • Note who the seller is.
I heard they were making a French version of Medal of Honor. I wonder how many hotkeys it'll have for "surrender."

I know it can look that way, but it's a 1923. I've done a double take or two myself before. If you use the enlarge button, you will clearly see it's a 23.

  • merz2, look at the coin that's inside the slab. Does it not say 1928? Or is that just a REALLY closed 3?

  • It's a '23--and a nice one. I have done double takes on countless occasions when I look at a 23 at just the wrong angle--looks like a '28 and then I'm really disappointed that I haven't found a '28 sleeping in my favorite dealers' $12 bin

I see pretty clearly that it's a 3... you can see the serif, and if you can't, lessen the brightness of the image--you should be able to see it.

  • Whatever it is, it is now mine. For what I got it for if it really is a 1923 I will be happy.

  • Well let's see if this works. I got his enlarge image then turned on Magnifier in Windows XP and blew up the date. Took a screen shot etc and heres what I got.
