Has anyone written a coin book or publish regularly? I would like to read some items that were written by the members.

There are a few excellent authors among us.

While I've yet to even start a book so am hardly an author, I'm a regular writer (crank) to Numis News and Coin World letters to the editors.

coppercoins just finished a book on Lincolns. I know Hoot has had a couple articles published in CW and/or NN, and pmh1nic has done the same. I'm surely forgetting some and no slight is intended to those I can't recall offhand.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

Jeremy/airplanenut has been published in both Coin World and The Newmismatist, if I recall correctly.

I have a book about Lincoln cents on my website as mentioned above, and I believe Conder101 has a book out about slabs. I'd have to let someone else fill you in with the details on that one.

  • Hope you don't mind me bringing this back to the top. Fred Weinberg and J.T. Stanton deserve to be mentioned. They don't post often here, but they are members. image

I know that several of us regularly contribute to the Gobrecht Journal (the LSCC publication). For those that are seated collectors, this is a "must" publication.
