NCS v. ANACS - Damaged coins

If you were buying a coin that was somehow damaged, i.e. cleaning, damage, scratch, etc, which holder would you rather see it in?

Does one command more/less money for you?

For the dealers out there, what do your customers prefer?

  • Personally i prefer ANACS just from experience. I feel they command a better premium over NCS as well as more fair grading.

I'd prefer NCS because they tend to annotate more of the problems, have a more attractive holder, and let you the buyer determine net price.

ANACS because with NCS you always wonder if the coin has been conserved(cleaned or messed with).

Um, if it is in a NCS holder you know it has problems!
  • ANACS for me........please.

anacs. I have not seen ncs coins in person, but the web pics look a bit scary........too bright for my taste

    ANACS hands down.

The NCS holder is ugly. And like I've said before if NGC BBs a coin for no good reason, they don't deserve to be rewarded with another fee for an NCS holder. I'd have to like a coin a whole lot to buy it in an NCS holder, which says something about my buying habits. I've never purchased a coin in an NCS holder.
