    The thread was locked because it was off topic. I participate in several other non-coin forums, and locking threads is used a lot more often on those forums when threads get out of hand. In this case, they may have better luck stopping this nonsense by booting majorbigego.

  • I think a few 'locks' now and again for some threads might keep things better under control when they get out of hand in this forum.

    In some cases (not all, of course), I think it would work much better than deleting. When the mod posts a message as to why the thread is being locked and then locks it, it serves as information and a heads up. Deleting without posting a reason seems to inspire all sorts of conspiracy theories as to why it was deleted. image

    The 'Who here is from Connecticut or New York?' is an example of a thread that, in my opinion, should have already been locked considering its apparent purpose.
    Time sure flies when you don't know what you are doing...
