Catalog Experience?

I just ordered a coin from Empire Coin Co. and I was wondering if anyone had any experience in dealing with them...thanks

    Never ordered from Empire--but did from Franklin--ordered three BU+ Morgans that were subsequently slabbed by ANACS in 64. So, catalog orders may be OK. Sorry if this is OT--I realize it is a different dealer but just wanted to say that catalogs may be OK.

    Just how old is that catalog? image Empire Coin Co was the name of Q David Bowers firm back in the early 1960's.

    I think there is another firm by that name today but I don't have any experience with them.

    No experience with Empire coins but I still remember that old Empire carpets jingle from Chicago. I think I even remember the phone # 888-2300. mike image
