Well, they didn't pay any more than AU-55 money for it, so even if it's only AU-55, it wasn't a bad buy. The only major concern is that there might be something with the coin to bodybag it elsewhere.
I would have if I had the money, great coin, key coin, value for that coin will hold amoung others, probably keep rising too. Although it is in a crappy slab and doesn't look too appealing, it really is.

I can't say that I would have bid on this auction- the picture wasn't clear, no reverse pic, and I didn't read of a return policy. But sometimes I get the feeling that people around here believe that every coin in a pci gold holder is a piece of crap. It's easy to bash, and ridicule anybody who purchases one of these coins. Personally, I won't pass on a coin just because it's in a pci gold holder- I recently purchased an 1890-O ms63 morgan that's in a gold holder. It's flashy, very attractive, and very accurately graded- and I probably saved quite a bit of money too. So give this guy a rest already........
My style is impetuous, my defense is impregnable !

I wouldn't take a chance on that, but...
I also love to go through rolls to find coins.
