  • Depending on how much money I have... it's generally somewhere between $50 and $100, which includes paying for gas and food. Sometimes, especially at a big show or if I'm specifically looking for a higher priced coin, I'll bring $150+

Bring as much as you can possibly get your greedy little paws on, but don't feel obligated to spend it once you're there.

Take 25% of the amount you are thinking of spending. When you find what you are looking for, give the dealer a down payment and ask him to send you the coin when he receives the balance. This way, you should be able to stay focused and avoid impulse buying.

Don't forget to bring a few coins you can part with. They can be used as trade bait.

I normally bring around 500 but rarely spend above 150.

Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't love to look at a pretty bust.
  • I was thinking of bringing my gold bullion coins to sell and the silver bullion coins, just cause I have no purpose for them. That would probably add about $200 to pot.

What is money, in reality, but dirty pieces of paper and metal upon which privilege is stamped?
