Depending on how much money I have... it's generally somewhere between $50 and $100, which includes paying for gas and food. Sometimes, especially at a big show or if I'm specifically looking for a higher priced coin, I'll bring $150+
Take 25% of the amount you are thinking of spending. When you find what you are looking for, give the dealer a down payment and ask him to send you the coin when he receives the balance. This way, you should be able to stay focused and avoid impulse buying.
I was thinking of bringing my gold bullion coins to sell and the silver bullion coins, just cause I have no purpose for them. That would probably add about $200 to pot.
