Going to do several polls to pick the best state quarter design from the first five years. In five or so years, will do another poll for the second batch of 25 and then have the final elimination for the -BEST- state quarter design.
Five polls, one for each year and then the top five from each year will be in the semi-final poll. The design that gets the least votes from all the polls will get the honors of being -THE DOG-

edited to add: Well, it is the Magnolia state.

I'm biased against Ohio. I had to send in 3 to get one PR69DCAM

<< <i>That's the problem. If you're from the South (I lived in Tennessee until I was 32) you'll instantly recognize the reverse on the Mississippi as a Magnolia blossom. However, if you live anywhere else (I currently live in Massachusetts), nobody knows what a Magnolia looks like. >>
Not true. I live in Columbus Ohio (40 North, 83 West) and we have 2 Magnolias in our yard. Many varieties are winter hardy as far north as mid-Michigan. There isn't a prettier or more fragrant bloom.
I know it's hard, but need more votes....
I'll vote for Mississippi only because prooflike wants more votes. Otherwise, I'd sit this round out. Maybe this contest needs a "wildcard" - I bet lots of earlier losers will get more votes than the 2002 winner.
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
The battle scars of all the good times
yes, there will be a wildcard from 1999, CT had the most votes, but NJ put up a good fight, it was neck & neck.
