Poll for the "goldbugs"...anonymous of course.

How many ounces of gold do you have? Included are generic $20's as one ounce, etc. Not RARE gold...unless of course you have so much that you WEIGH em.

    <----- ZERO LOL
  • I choose 1-10 so I could see the results. I don't have any bullion... It is hard for me to understand why anyone would have over 1,000 ounces! That is almost half a million bucks worth!

This Doctor has 5 1/2 oz. Surely want more, in coinage. When/if the bullion comes down. Stopped on gold when the gold bullion bubble started to inflate. Come the interest rate revolution (increase), I hope/expect bullion to come down, then I'm back into my favorite, gold coin collecting.

Now if you factor in rarity, it's possible that someone might have 1oz that's worth more than someone's pile of 200oz! image

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

Just a few AU 19th century half eagles. I like the nickel size in that grade as you get lots of detail and the marks don't detract as much as on the eagles or double eagles.

What is money, in reality, but dirty pieces of paper and metal upon which privilege is stamped?

I don't count my gold in ounces; I only think about the number of coins when I think about at all.

I think that I'm up to about 90 gold coins now. They range from 1776 British guinea to a 2003 Wright brothers $10 commemorative. The closest any of them are to being bullion is an Unc. type set of U.S. gold eagles. The rest are almost all worth a lot more than their weight in gold, and there are no duplicates. I wish that I could get more U.S. type coins, but all but perhaps one type that I don't have (all dated before 1834) are beyond my current budget.

I like gold alot but only as true numismatic collectors' items. As for bullion, well image

In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
