Upgrade #1: 1862 Halfpenny

I just received the now famous 1862 halfpenny today from Aethelred. Fully red and looks like it was made in 1962.

Should I tell Wybrit that I lick all red copper coins before I mail them, or should I just keep that to myself?image

That one sure makes the 64RB look like the ugly sister.

I believe the coin was on consignment.

It was on consignment the first time I sold it, when it was returned I paid the consignor for the coin with the intention of keeping it myself. After consideration I decided that it might be best to sell it (with you in mind Wybrit) and use those funds for something a little more "madkingish."image

Very nice coin! Same Vicky portrait as the 1861 New Brunswick half cent. Wish my NB was as good as your halfpenny. image
