This question is about "Super toned" Morgan dollars...Why is it that far out toners are generally found on common date Morgan Dollars? Yes, I know there are some exceptions regarding the GSA CC Morgans, but I've never seen really cool toning on "KEY DATE" Morgans ie; 92-CC 93-S (Which there are only a few that I'm aware of in MS condition) 93-CC and so on and so-forth. Your replies are appreciated.
What is money, in reality, but dirty pieces of paper and metal upon which privilege is stamped?

Another factor may have been that a few years ago "white" coins seemed to get the bump on grades from several of the major grading services - so human nature being what it is lots of key dates got dipped as that's what the "demand" (ie the higher prices) was at the time

Hmmh, interesting! I can appreciate that theory.
<< <i>Most of the "monster" toned Morgans are mint-bag toned, and some dates, notably the early S, P, and O mints, had a much larger "bag" (unused) population, because too many were struck, and very few were actually needed for circulation. >>
Oughtta be some awesome Sackies in about 50 years then.
