Is this done for every state release and what are these things worth?

They made several hundred of them as far as I know, passing them out during the official release day. The one I owned, I sold last year on ebay for around $25.

I'm no Sherlock Holmes, but looking at that slab I'd estimate that they made 500 of them.

Actually, Cameron could be right, just because the run is from 1-500, it does not mean they fullfilled all 500.

I believe Indiana was the first one they did, and they may have done one for Ohio. I don't think they have been done for the others. It's pretty much up to the local organizers what gets done for the different releases.
