I've never heard of the person, and I hope he's a dealer, rather than a telemarketer type outfit.
Before you slab, though, take the coins to a dealer to be looked at, or at least provide us with photographs of the coins.

I've heard of him. The name rings a bell, anyway. (Don't worry- it's not a warning bell!) I couldn't tell you anything about him but I am positive I have heard the name.
Sounds like some nice stuff. Perhaps all worthy of submission.
Split up any worth less than $300 and use economy for those.
I don't normally say that, but you have some nice coins and who knows what they may be graded today compared to 1983.
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
You might want to get your pictures taken first.
The slab should help the sell price.
I'll bet you have some really nice coins there and wish you the best of luck getting strong prices for them. I'd consign them to Heritage for auction and probably slab all of them.

I'd slab everything you want to sell. For most people, a raw rare coin is a problem coin & you'll have a hard time getting what it is worth unless it is in either a PCGS or NGC slab. Before the sale, let us know the grades & people will suggest venues to sell these coins, along with reasons why they prefer the venue(s) they list.

I can save you the grading fees on this one and just buy it raw!
Seriously -- if this as nicely toned as you say I would love to have a shot at this coin. I'm doing a toned-only Peace $ Registry Set and would like to upgrade my current coin.
Please let me know.
