Let me tell you a story about a stand up dealer (Kyle Knapp)

A little while ago, I bought a lovely looking bullet toned Ike PR Dollar from Kyle Knapp.
After the purchase, I sent the coin to PCGS and it came back as PR-66. I thought this
validated the toning and the matter was closed. A little while later, I receive an E-Mail
from Kyle showing me a picture from a known Coin doctors web site, that had an IKE PROOF
that looked exactly like the coin I had purchased. Kyle told me he was concerned that the coin
he sold me might be AT, even though it had been graded by PCGS. He not only refunded my money
but paid me for the cost of having the coin graded. This Is the kind of dealer that looks after the
interests of his clients. I hereby award Kyle, Bears coveted "Growl Of Approval Award" for outstanding
professionalism, integrity and decency. Well done Kyle, well done indeed.

By the way - got a pic of the coin or a link to the "doctor's" website so we can see it for ourselves?

I don't know anything about his parents, but I'll venture a guess that they must have raised him right.
Don't most good coin doctors try to make coins look like genuine toning?
I don't get it
Just kidding!
Bear didn't explain what happened initially very well.
Did Bear get the coin and think it was AT?
Did the seller think-know the coin was AT before selling it and then want it back after it got in a pcgs slab?
Did the seller only find the picture of a similar looking toned coin after finding out the coin was holdered at pcgs?
Will the coin reappear for sale in the pcgs holder as not AT?

What has happened to the coin since?
the coin raw from an honorable collector/dealer from the Forum. I bought the coin raw from Kyle
and now he has it back. It appears thet some of the coin doctors are getting so good at this AT bussiness
even when you are experienced and careful, you can get fooled.

That is the part I wasn't clear about Bear. What was the matter that was closed?
I don't really care anyway.
So any coin that looks like a picture of a coin that is known AT is automatically AT?
I guess most coins could be deemed AT by that logic.
Maybe the picture should be mailed to pcgs so they can use it as a reference.
When PCGS graded the coin, I thought my doubts were put to bed. In any event
I was satisfied with the deal untill I got a heads up from Kyle. That man has won my trust
and confidence from now on, even though his reputation in the industry is already exemplary.

So let me see if I have this right.
The baby faced kid says hey buy this coin and send it in because I don’t want PCGS to tag me as an AT submitter.
So you do it, and since PCGS slabbed At’s are worth lots of money the Kid comes back and say hey man good job, but since I am sure this is AT I will give you back your purchase price plus the slabbing fee.
So please finish the rest of the story, where is the coin now? Do you think the kid has a pictures of it ripped out of the PCGS slab? Where is the web address of the Doctor?
Bear, please PM me if you get anymore PCGS AT coins you want to sell !

Just saving that so it doesn't get edited out before Kyle has a chance to respond. Of course, there really isn't any need for him to do so since his reputation is unimpeachable and Goldsaint is talking out his ass.

Couldn't agree with you more, Russ! Some people lack any A-1 reputation; therefore, they retaliate by berating someone else, for whom they probably don't even know. JMHO.
Kyle's a cool kid. He gave me a Sample Slab one time one time years ago before everybody started selling them.
this?
BTW, I don't own it, but AT or not, it is pretty!
