Awesome collection! by memory most of the coins with original surfaces. Paul Dingler and his wife are very nice folks. I have not seen them for a few years and hope they're OK? Hopefully this collection will be sold intact to a collector who has the will and ability to nurture it long term. For it to go to the coin doctors for processing would be more than most branch gold collectors could bear. In my opinion the finest Charlotte gold collection of which I am aware.

Would it not be more interesting for the set to be split up so it can be reassembled by multiple collectors (like Green Pond and Duke's Creek Dahlonega sets)?

Tough call...1804 dollar is such a storied, stand-alone coin.
