Even I would have spotted that as AT.

I think it's kinda pretty, though, in a baked sort of way. image

Interesting how album-toned coins seem to having toning starting at the edges, while AT coins like that seem to have the toning start in the middle, with the edges mostly untoned.

85 bucks and change? image Damn, somebody could have bought two BU coins for that!

Someone wise once said that you can't polish a turd....

That walker was some smokin' AT- any chance we get a linky to the auction?? image

Looks like aswimmer or tonecoin brand.
  • Actually I checked his feed back(as always) and he sells a variety of stuff. Just wanted some input on the toning as it did look suspicious pretty though.

    Thanks all

Littlebit, the vast majority of these, if they have toned naturally, will have light golden mellow hues.

You made a wise decision not to buy this coin. image

  • Thanxx, really consider the input of the members around here when lookinf to buy toned coins and other coins, lots of experience in here, it can really help a young collector like myself make wiser decisions and educate themselves.Even though I have the PCGS Coin Grading and Counterfeit ...book here it is still pretty touch and go with it.

    So THANK YOU ALL...

I would just add that MELLOW is very difficult, if not impossible, for the amateur AT'er to achieve.

I mean, centering a quarter on both sides? What an achievement.
